Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
At Playamo, we believe you have every right to know how your personal information is handled. This Privacy Policy sets out what data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and what choices you have.
This policy covers everyone who visits our website, creates an account, or uses our services. We follow the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and where relevant, the GDPR. Questions? Use the contact details in Section 9.
1. What Information We Collect
1.1 Account and Identity Information
When you create an account, we ask for your full legal name, date of birth, email address, home address, phone number, and username and password.
1.2 Financial Information
To process deposits and withdrawals, we collect card details stored securely via payment processors, bank account details, billing address, and your AU$ transaction history.
1.3 Verification Documents
Australian law requires us to confirm player identities. We may ask for a photo ID such as a passport or driver's licence, proof of address, and proof of payment method ownership.
1.4 Technical and Usage Data
We collect your IP address, device type, browser version, and login timestamps to keep the platform secure.
2. How We Collect Your Information
2.1 Directly From You
Most information comes from you — when you register, complete identity verification, update your profile, or contact support.
2.2 Automatically Through Our Platform
Some data is collected through cookies, server logs, and similar technologies. More on this in Section 6.
2.3 From Trusted Third Parties
We may receive information from payment providers, identity verification agencies, and fraud prevention services, used only in ways consistent with this policy.
3. Why We Use Your Information
3.1 To Run Your Account
We use your data to manage your account, process AU$ transactions, and give you access to all platform features.
3.2 To Meet Legal Obligations
We are legally required to verify identities and monitor activity under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 as a condition of our Australian operating licence.
3.3 To Support Responsible Gambling
We monitor account behaviour to identify players experiencing difficulties and may apply limits, offer self-exclusion tools, or share support information.
3.4 To Provide Customer Support
We use your account information to respond to queries, resolve issues, and keep interaction records for quality purposes.
3.5 To Send You Relevant Offers
With your permission, we may contact you about promotions. You can withdraw consent via the unsubscribe link or account settings.
3.6 To Detect and Prevent Fraud
We use account data and technical information to spot suspicious activity and protect our platform.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Information
4.1 Where Your Data Is Held
Your data is stored on secure servers in Australia or countries meeting equivalent protection standards, with contractual safeguards covering international transfers.
4.2 Security Measures
Our protections include SSL/TLS encryption, encrypted storage for financial records, optional two-factor authentication, strict access controls, and regular security reviews. Every AU$ transaction is processed through PCI DSS-compliant gateways. We do not store card numbers — payment data is handled by regulated third-party processors.
5. Who We Share Your Information With
5.1 Our Service Providers
We work with payment processors, identity verification providers, support platforms, and analytics tools — all contractually required to protect your data.
5.2 Regulators and Law Enforcement
We share information with authorities only when required by Australian law or a valid legal order.
5.3 In the Event of a Business Change
If our business is acquired or restructured, your data may transfer accordingly. We will notify you by email or website notice.
5.4 We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or pass your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.
6. Cookies
6.1 What Cookies Are
Cookies are small files saved to your device that help the site remember your login status and preferences.
6.2 The Cookies We Use
We use four types: essential cookies to keep the site working, analytics cookies to understand usage, preference cookies to save your settings, and marketing cookies to show relevant content and measure ad performance.
6.3 Your Cookie Choices
Manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect site functionality. For full details, visit the cookies section on our Playamo privacy policy page.
7. Your Rights
7.1 Rights Under Australian Privacy Law
Under the APPs, you can request access to your data, ask for corrections, raise a complaint, and opt out of direct marketing.
7.2 Additional Rights Under GDPR
If the GDPR applies to you, you may also request data deletion, restrict certain processing, receive a portable copy of your data, and withdraw consent at any time.
7.3 How to Make a Request
Contact us via Section 9. We respond within 30 days and may ask for identity confirmation.
8. How Long We Store Your Data
8.1 Retention Periods
Account and identity records are kept for a minimum of 7 years after closure under Australian AML requirements. AU$ transaction records are held for 7 years. Technical log data is retained for 12 to 24 months. Marketing records are kept only while you remain opted in.
